A used but still in good order First-Aid Pouch M-1924 and a 2nd model First-Aid packet, US Government Carlisle Model
The first model was made of brass. At the end of 1941 the packet was stamped out of tin to save the precious brass. The enclosed paper package of sulfanamide is indicated on the bottom.
